Any new situation can be a daunting task. Especially so when you are young and live with a disability. I wanted to capture how things are not always in your control, how your actions might ultimately be misconstrued by strangers or how your choice of words can be interpreted when you want to be understood.
By Myself, For Once is an interactive fiction game where you play as Sam, a young teen living with a disability, visiting the bank by herself for the first time. Where you want to go and what you carry inside your fanny pack shapes the way this tale will unfold. Visiting the bank turns out more interesting than one might think.
